It is believed that on this day, prayers reach the Mahaguru directly, and his blessings evade darkness and ignorance from a disciple’s life.

Before this, he had given up all the resources that made him a happy and fulfilled man. Quite naturally, he was followed by several people. He was followed by four to five disciples on his journey to Sarnath. All of these people wanted to learn the deeper secrets of life. He taught them the Dahramachakra Pravarthana Sutra. They learned this and understood all that life meant to people.
