The Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology (FIMT) successfully organized the 5th National Moot Court Competition in collaboration with the National Human Rights Commission of India (NHRC). The prestigious three-day legal event was held from March 12 to March 14, 2026, at the institute’s campus in New Delhi.

The competition brought together 80 teams from leading universities and law schools across India, providing a platform for aspiring law students to demonstrate their legal knowledge, advocacy skills, and research abilities. The event focused on complex legal issues related to cyber crime and human rights, allowing participants to argue cases in a simulated courtroom environment before an esteemed panel of judges.

Moot court competitions are an important part of legal education as they help students gain practical exposure to courtroom procedures, legal research, and advocacy techniques. The event at FIMT aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical legal education and real-world legal practice.

The competition was organized by the FIMT Moot Court Society, which efficiently managed more than 80 registrations and coordinated participation from law schools across the country.
