Every year, millions of Hindu pilgrims visit Shri Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra and also wish to travel to Amritsar. However, without a direct train, they face challenges. To get from Katra to Amritsar, they either have to take a taxi or bus, or first travel to Jammu Tawi. Only from the Jammu Tawi railway station is there a direct train available to Amritsar.

According to the sources, Amritsar Katra Vande Bharat Express will leave from Amritsar at 6 and will reach at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 11 am. The same train will leave from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 3 pm and will reach Amritsar at 8 pm. Amritsar to Katra Vande Bharat Express will take 5 hours to complete a singe journey and it will travel a distance of 284 km.

Amritsar-Katra Vande Bharat Express ticket prices will be around 685 rupees for a single journey in AC Chair Car class and 1685 rupees for Exec. Chair Car (EC).
