According to the media reports, through video conference, Indore Bhopal Vande Bharat Express will be inaugurated by Prime Minister of India, Narender Modi, on 26 June 2023. Modi will inaugurate four other Vande Bharat Express train on the same day through video conference. Bhopal Indore Vande Bharat will be the first Vande Bharat Express for Indore and Ujjain.

There are two railway routes through which train travel from Bhopal to Indoor. The shortest route has a distance of 217 km, and the other way has a distance of 260 km. Bhopal Indore Vande Bharat Express will start from Rani Kamlapati Railway Station and stop at Shujalpur, Maksi, Ujjain Junction Dewas and Indoor Junction. The final list of stoppages has not been announced by the Indian railway. Apart from Bhopal and Indore, Ujjain Junction is the most critical stop for Indore Bhopal Vande Bharat Express.

The train will halt in Indore for 5 hours and 30 minutes, leave the Indore station at 3 pm, and reach Bhopal at 6 pm. Bhopal Indore Vande Bharat Express will be the fasted train between Bhopal and Indore. Currently, the fastest train between Bhopal and Indore via Ujjain takes 5 hours and five minutes to complete.

The Indore Bhopal Vande Bharat Express ticket price will be 950 rupees for the AC Chair Car and 1525 rupees for Executive Chair Car (EC). The Vande Bharat Express do not have a sleeper and 3 AC class.
