The 2022 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Birmingham 2022, is an international multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth of Nations currently taking place in Birmingham, England, from 28 July to 8 August 2022. Birmingham 2022 will take place in 15 venues spread across the West Midlands region, seven of them, including the athletics stadium and marathon route, located in Birmingham.

CWG 2022 India Medals Winners
- Mirabai Chanu – GOLD (Weightlifting, Women’s 49kg class) – Star weightlifter Mirabai Chanu went on a record-smashing spree, claiming four of them in a power-packed performance, to claim India’s first gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on July 30, 2022.
- Jeremy Lalrinnunga – GOLD (Weightlifting, Men’s 67kg) – Jeremy Lalrinnunga maintained the country’s dominance in the weightlifting arena when he claimed the second gold medal in CWG 2022.
- Achinta Sheuli – GOLD (Weightlifting, Men’s 73kg) – Weightlifter Achinta Sheuli clinched India’s third gold in the Commonwealth Games 2022.
- Bidyarani Devi – SILVER (Weightlifting, Women’s 55kg class) – Weightlifter Bindyarani Devi win a silver medal in the women’s 55kg as India continued its medal rush at the Commonwealth Games 2022.
- Sanket Mahadev Sargar – SILVER (Weightlifting, Men’s 55kg class) – Indian weightlifter Sanket Sargar opened the country’s medal count at the CWG 2022 by claiming a silver in the men’s 55kg category.
- Gururaja Poojary – BRONZE (Weightlifting, Men’s 61kg class) – P. Gururaja win Bronze in the Men’s 61 kg weight category at the Birmingham CWG 2022, on July 30.
CWG 2022 India Medals Ranking
India has an incredible record over the history of the Commonwealth Games with an overall tally of 504 medals. Australia still is the runway leader with 52 medals in total including 22 gold, 12 silver and 17 bronze. England is a distant second with 34 medals including 11 gold, 16 silver and seven bronze while New Zealand are close third with 18 medals – 10 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze.
