Mesra (East) — In a commendable step toward ensuring access to justice at the grassroots level, DRISTI Volunteers, in collaboration with Nyaya Shastra, successfully organized a Pro Bono Legal Aid and Legal Awareness Program NYAYDISHA—a step towards justice at the village of राजकीयकृत प्राथमिक विद्यालय पँचौली (East Mesra) under the guidance and vision of Co-founder Shubhanshu Shekhar Shukla and with the leadership of Chapter lead Aditya Sunar. The initiative aimed to educate and empower underserved sections of society by spreading awareness about fundamental legal rights and providing free legal assistance.

Guided by the core pillars of DISHA (Direction), DAKSHA (Competence), and DIKSHA (Education & Awareness), the program focused on bridging the gap between the legal system and rural communities. Volunteers interacted closely with villagers, explaining essential legal provisions in a simple and accessible manner, while also offering basic pro bono legal guidance without any financial burden.
The session addressed everyday legal concerns faced by the community, enabling individuals to better understand their rights and responsibilities. For many villagers, the program served as a first meaningful interaction with legal professionals, fostering confidence and trust in the justice system.
The impact of the initiative was evident in the response of the beneficiaries, whose expressions of gratitude reflected the success of the effort. The program not only disseminated legal knowledge but also reinforced values of social responsibility, community empowerment, and inclusive justice.
A committed team of volunteers including Piyush Srivastava, Tanu Kumari, Yashika Aggarwal, aashika kumari, Shivangee Tiwary, Mohit kumar and others ensured smooth coordination throughout the event. Their collective effort highlighted DRISTI’s ongoing commitment to service, empathy, and uplifting the community.
