The Ganga Times, Gaya: An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 strikes the national capital Delhi and other parts of the country. On the Richter Scale, Rajasthan’s Alwar is said to be the epicenter, says the National Center for Seismology. The tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR.
The earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred at 11.46 pm at a depth of five kilometres, the national agency said.
Delhi has been prone to such earthquakes. In recent times, it has witnessed several of them. During the Covid-19 lockdown also, tremors have jolted the national capital. In those scenarios, people were confused whether to follow the lockdown measures and stay indoor or go out as a precautionary measure for earthquake.
