People from Kerala do not need to wait a longer period for the Vande Bharat train between Ernakulam and Bengaluru because new coaches of the train for Ernakulam Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express have arrived in Ernakulam.
Here’s the news for rail travellers in Kerala: More good news might be coming as the Railways consider assigning another Vande Bharat service for the state. Despite boosting maintenance infrastructure in Ernakulam, a Vande Bharat Express set that arrived in Kochuveli a month ago was relocated for operation on the Mysuru-Chennai route. The two Vande Bharat trains running in Kerala are almost full, with occupancy rates reaching around 150%. This high demand is due to the average speed of express trains in the state, which hovers at approximately 50 km/h.
Ernakulam Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express Route
The upcoming Ernakulam Bangalore Vande Bharat Express will connect Ernakulam Junction in Kochi with KSR Bengaluru City Junction in Bangalore. Currently, the fastest train on this route, the Intercity Express, takes around 10 hours and 40 minutes to cover the 585-kilometer distance. In contrast, the Vande Bharat Express will complete the journey in just 8 hours, allowing passengers to save 3 hours on each trip.
Ernakulam Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express Timetable
As per reports, the train will depart from Bengaluru at 5 am bound for Ernakulam. It will arrive at Ernakulam Junction by 1 pm and return by 2 pm. On the same day, it will reach Bengaluru by 10 pm.

According to the sources, Ernakulam Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will stop at Palakkad Junction, Coimbatore Junction, Erode Junction, Salem Junction and Hosur between Ernakulam and Bengaluru.

Media reports suggest that the Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express is set to commence its services on April 20, 2024.
