Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology (FIMT) successfully hosted the 4th All India Moot Court Competition on March 22, 2025, drawing participation from leading law institutions across the country. Organized by the Moot Court Society, Justice Prelims, the event aimed to enhance advocacy and legal research skills among budding legal professionals.
All India Moot Court Competition Thrilling Show of Legal Prowess
The competition, held on the Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology (FIMT) campus, witnessed intense courtroom simulations under the guidance of Faculty Coordinator Dr. Malvika Sharma and her team. The final round featured a compelling face-off between the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Punjab University, and Maharaja Surajmal Institute.
Following the draw of lots and memorial exchanges, both teams engaged in a 90-minute battle of legal reasoning, persuasion, and presentation. The esteemed judging panel, comprising Dr. Om Pal Shokeen, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Advocate Malhotra, Advocate Raaj Malhotra, and Advocate Nar Har, assessed the competitors on their legal acumen, argument structuring, and response to judicial questioning.
Valedictory Ceremony and Distinguished Guests
The event concluded with a grand valedictory ceremony, beginning with the traditional Lighting of the Lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge. Dignitaries were felicitated, followed by a welcome address from Shri V.K.N. Bhardwaj, Chairman of Fairfield Group of Institutions, who reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to legal excellence.
Ms. Glory Singh, Student Convener of the Moot Court Society, presented the event report, highlighting key moments, while Mr. Shivam Tandon, a BBA LLB student, showcased a video compilation that captured the spirit of the competition.
