Integral Coach Factory (ICF), a prominent train production unit in the nation, is poised for a busy year ahead. Building upon the triumph of the Vande Bharat Express, which has facilitated rapid connectivity between significant cities, the ICF is set to introduce multiple iterations of the train. These variations include a sleeper class configuration, a model tailored for short-distance commuter travel, and an additional non-AC train set.
These developments are expected to materialize by the end of this year, signifying the commitment to expanding and enhancing the railway network for diverse passenger needs. The upcoming thirty-first Vande Bharat train, currently in preparation at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, is set to become the nation’s inaugural semi-high-speed express adorned in a distinctive orange colour. This innovative addition is poised to bring a unique visual identity to the Vande Bharat fleet while offering enhanced semi-high-speed travel experiences to passengers.

According to the sources, the orange Vande Bharat train is expected to be unveiled at the Chennai production unit on August 19, and it will be the India 31st Vande Bharat Express Train.
Why Has New Vande Bharat Oranged Cloured?
Taking inspiration from the Indian national flag, the forthcoming first Orange Vande Bharat train is set to make a striking visual statement with its colour scheme. The train will feature a combination of saffron, along with green stripes adorning its doors and body. Furthermore, the front portion of the driver cabin will prominently showcase the vibrant orange colour, adding to its aesthetic appeal and making it a captivating and attention-grabbing sight.
First Orange Vande Bharat Express Train Route
There are 25 Vande Bharat trains operational throughout the country. An additional five train sets are poised to join their ranks, awaiting the green signal for deployment. These new five Vande Bharat trains will start in August 2023 between Udaipur to Jaipur, Patna to Howrah, Kacheguda to Yeshwanthpur, Chennai to Vijayawada and Chennai to Tirunelveli routes.
