GGSIPU Anugoonj 2026 Prelims were hosted at FIMT College Delhi, featuring cultural, dance, music, theatre, and literary events with wide participation.

Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology (FIMT), New Delhi, hosted the GGSIPU Anugoonj 2026 Prelims (Zone 3) on December 19, marking a major cultural gathering of students from colleges affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). The prelims witnessed enthusiastic participation across music, dance, theatre, fine arts, and literary competitions.

One of the key attractions of the prelims was the Battle of Bands, which saw multiple teams perform high-energy sets showcasing musical coordination and stage presence. The band Abja from Vivekanand Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) secured first position, while the second position was claimed by the band led by Ishan Jain from Jagannath Institute of Management Studies.

In vocal music competitions, Dron from VIPS won the Classical Vocal category, followed by Aamin Sadiq from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT). The Light Vocal Music (Indian) title was won by Aditya Rawat (VIPS), with Saksham Sharma (BPIT) as runner-up. In Light Vocal Music (Western), Kripa John from Gitarattan Institute of Business Studies (GIBS) emerged as winner, while Chehak Sharma from MAIT finished second.

Group singing competitions also drew strong participation. The Western Group Song event was won by the team from MAIT, while VIPS secured second place. In the Indian Group Song category, VIPS claimed the top position, followed by MAIT.

Fine arts events added colour to the cultural prelims. Aman Kumar Chaurasiya from BPIT won the Collage Making competition, while Tamanna from Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies secured the runner-up position. On-the-Spot Painting and Cartooning saw strong performances from BPIT and MAIT students. The Clay Modelling competition was topped by Nisha Dabral from Guru Nanak College of Education, while Rahul Malik and Muskan Singh from Bhavan’s Leelavati Munshi College of Education won the Rangoli event.

The Mr. and Ms. Anugoonj titles were awarded to Aakriti Majithia from Delhi Institute of Advanced Studies and Rudraksh Kumar Singh from Krishna College of Commerce, with Purvi and Janial securing runner-up positions.

The cultural celebrations continued on January 20, 2026, during the main GGSIPU Anugoonj 2026 inter-college events. The Street Dance competition was won by Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan College, while VIPS finished as runner-up. Prashasti from MAIT secured first place in Classical Dance, followed by Divija Bhandari from Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies.

In theatre events, Akansha from GIBS won Mono Acting, while VIPS topped the One Act Play category. The Street Play competition was won by MAIT, with Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies securing second place.

Literary events also witnessed competitive performances. Akansha from GIBS won Poetry Recitation (Hindi), while Arnav Tiwari from VIPS secured Just A Minute (Hindi). In English literary events, Ritik Solanki from GIBS won Poetry Recitation, and PSH Yaashika from GIBS claimed Just A Minute (English).

The event concluded with appreciation for participants and organizers. GGSIPU Anugoonj 2026 once again reaffirmed its role as a major cultural platform promoting creativity, healthy competition, and student engagement across GGSIPU-affiliated institutions.
