Russell’s highest score in the IPL is 88 runs. Andre Dwayne Russell is a cricketer from Jamaica who has represented the West Indies in international cricket and played for Jamaica in domestic matches as an all-rounder. He is currently active in various T20 leagues across the globe.
2. Sunil Narine
The second name of the player with the highest strike rate in IPL is Sunil Narine. Sunil Narine has scored 1046 runs in 96 innings with a strike rate of 159.69. Narine is mainly a blower, but many times, he came for batting as an opener for Kolkata Night Rider. Because of his excellent performances in short-format cricket, the Kolkata Knight Riders team signed him for a hefty USD 700,000 during the 2012 IPL auction. In the IPL 2020 season, Pooran had a great run, scoring a total of 353 runs in 14 matches and hitting 25 sixes, making him the fourth highest six hitter. However, his performance dipped in the IPL 2021 season, scoring only 85 runs. In the 2022 IPL Auction, the Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Pooran for ₹10.75 crores. Virender Sehwag is the only Indian cricketer who has scored more than 1000 runs in IPL with a strike rate of more than 155.44. Apart from Sehwag, no other Indian player has scored 1000 runs with a strike rate of more than 150. Yashasvi Jaiswal is the second Indian player with the highest strike rate in IPL, 148.73.
