The initiative comes in response to growing concerns around stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges faced by students in academic environments, particularly in professional and healthcare education.
According to institute representatives, the centre has been established to provide a structured support system where students can access counselling and guidance in a confidential and non-judgmental setting.
“Students today face multiple pressures related to academics, career expectations, and personal challenges. The aim is to ensure that they have access to timely support and guidance,” an official said.

What is IPHH ‘Manovani’ centre?

The services offered at Manovani include one-on-one counselling sessions, academic stress management support, and workshops focusing on mental health awareness and emotional resilience. The centre will also provide crisis intervention support and facilitate referrals for specialised care where required.
In addition, the initiative seeks to integrate mental health awareness into the broader academic framework through seminars, peer engagement programmes, and outreach activities within the campus.
The institute stated that the focus of the centre is not only on addressing immediate concerns but also on building long-term coping mechanisms and life skills among students.
