The Vande Bharat Express is a fast train made in India by our own engineers. Vande Bharat Trains are made under the Make in India scheme. The first Vande Bharat Express started running on February 15, 2019. Since then, 40 more of these trains have been introduced on different routes all over India. Being a country capital, New Delhi has a huge number of people.

For a smooth and faster travelling experience, the Indian railway has introduced 10 Vande Bharat trains for Delhi on different routes. There are two routes from New Delhi where two Vande Bharat Trains are operated. New Delhi is the only city where two Vande Bharat Expresses are running between Delhi to Varanasi and Delhi to Katra with different time schedules. List of Vande Bharat Trains From Delhi

1. New Delhi to Varanasi Vande Bharat Express(Train Number 22436/22435)

The first name in the list of Vande Bharat trains from Delhi is New Delhi to Varanasi Vande Bharat Express. This is also the India first Vande Bharat Express. The New Delhi to Varanasi Junction Vande Bharat Express, with train numbers 22435/22436, currently runs on six days every week. It covers a distance of 759 km in about 8 hours, maintaining an average speed of 95 km/h.

2. New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express(Train Number 22439/22440)

New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express is the second Vande Bharat train in India and second Vande Bharat Train started from New Delhi. The New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express, with train numbers 22439/22440, presently consists of 14 AC Chair Car coaches and 2 Executive Chair Car coaches.

3. New Delhi to Amb Andaura Vande Bharat Express(Train Number 22447/22448)

The third name is the list of Vande Bharat Trains from Delhi is New Delhi to Amb Andaura Vande Bharat Express. The 22447/22448 New Delhi – Amb Andaura Vande Bharat Express is India’s fourth Vande Bharat Express train. It connects the states of New Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh. The 22447/22448 New Delhi – Amb Andaura Vande Bharat Express is currently operational six days a week, covering a distance of 412 km in a travel time of 5 hours and 15 minutes. The train’s average speed ranges from 76 km/h to 79 km/h, and the Maximum Permissible Speed (MPS) allowed for this train is 130 km/h.

4. Anand Vihar to Dehradun Vande Bharat Express(Train Number 22458/22457)

Anand Vihar to Dehradun Vande Bharat Express was the fourth Vande Bharat trains from Delhi and first Vande Bharat Express for Uttrakhand. The train is managed and operated by Indian Railways. It commences its journey from Uttarakhand’s Dehradun Terminal, concluding at New Delhi’s Anand Vihar Terminal. Later in the evening, it retraces its route back to Dehradun.

5. New Delhi to Ajmer Vande Bharat Express(Train Number 20977/20978)

The 20977/20978 Ajmer–Delhi Cantonment Vande Bharat Express is the 14th Vande Bharat Express train in India and fifth Vande Bharat Trains from Delhi. It establishes a connection between the states of Rajasthan, Haryana, and New Delhi. New Delhi to Ajmer Vande Bharat Express was the first Vande Bharat Express for Rajasthan.

6. New Delhi to Bhopal Vande Bharat Express(Train Number 20171/20172)

New Delhi to Bhopal Vande Bharat Express is also known as Rani Kamalapati (Habibganj) – Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat Express because it starts a journey from Rani Kamalapati (Habibganj) railway station in Bhopal and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station in New Delhi.This train, operated by Indian Railways, links Rani Kamalapati (Habibganj), Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi Jn, Gwalior Jn, Agra Cantt, and Hazrat Nizamuddin. It runs with the train numbers 20172/20171, operating six days a week.

7. New Delhi to Varanasi Vande Bharat Express(Train Number 22415/22416)

The 7th name in the list of Vande Bharat trains from Delhi is New Delhi to Varanasi Vande Bharat Express. There is a difference between the first and second Vande Bharat Express trains connecting New Delhi and Varanasi. The first Vande Bharat Train departs from New Delhi at 6 am and returns to New Delhi the same evening at 11 pm. On the other hand, the second Vande Bharat Express leaves Varanasi at 6 am and returns to Varanasi Junction the same evening at 11 pm.

8. New Delhi to Ayodhya Vande Bharat Express(Train Number 22426/22425)

New Delhi to Ayodhya Vande Bharat Express is a newly introduced Vande Bharat trains from Delhi that connects Aanad Vihar Terminus in Delhi and Ayodhya Dham Junction in Ayodhya. This train connects Anand Vihar Terminal, Kanpur Central, Lucknow Charbagh, and Ayodhya Cantt. Junction. It is currently running with the train numbers 22426/22425 on a six-day-a-week basis.

9. New Delhi to Amritsar Vande Bharat Express(Train Number 22488/22487)

New Delhi to Amritsar Vande Bharat Express is the 9th Vande Bharat trains from Delhi. It was inaugurated on 30 December 2023 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conferencing from Ayodhya Dham Junction. The 22488/22487 Amritsar – Delhi Junction Vande Bharat Express is presently in operation six days a week. It covers a distance of 447 km in a travel time of 5 hours and 30 minutes, maintaining an average speed of 81 km/h.

10. New Delhi to Katra Vande Bharat Express(Train Number 22478/22477)

The 10th name is the list of Vande Bharat Trains from Delhi is New Delhi to Katra Vande Bharat Express. This train connects the Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and New Delhi. The 22478/22477 SMVD Katra – New Delhi Vande Bharat Express is currently equipped with 14 AC Chair Car coaches and 2 Executive Chair Car coaches. The second Vande Bharat train from Delhi departs for Katra in the evening at 3 pm, whereas the first Vande Bharat train leaves from New Delhi in the morning at 6 am.
