Agra is one of the most visited cities in India. The Taj Mahal in Agra attracts more than lakhs of tourists from around the world every month. Agra Metro is an under-construction rapid transit network in Agra. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) was submitted in 2014 and cleared by the Uttar Pradesh government cabinet in 2015. As of July 2016, RITES has prepared DPR and submitted to the state government. December 2020: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Civil Construction work for Agra Metro Project.
