Reportedly, the Central Railway (CR) has plans to elevate the speed of the Mumbai Shirdi Vande Bharat train on the Igatpuri-Manmad line to 130 km/h. According to the information provided, the section between Igatpuri and Shirdi, spanning 125 km, currently permits speeds of up to 110 km/h. With the proposed increase in the train's speed limit to 130 km/h from the existing 110 km/h, the Vande Bharat Express will potentially reduce travel time by 30 minutes for each journey between Mumbai and Shirdi, as well as Shirdi to Mumbai.
