The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) chairman Alka Upadhyay has said that the long-delayed construction of the Patna Gaya Dobhi stretch of the National Highway (NH-83) would be complete by March 2023. The Union minister said the work had started in 2015 with a grant of Rupees 2,264 crore. Due to the problem with the land acquisition, the result was non-execution by the contractor.
The work restarted in November December 202 with a revised estimated cost of Rupees 5519 crore. If the NH 83 was built in 2015, the government could save around Rupees 3255 crore. The project cost of NH 83 almost doubled due to a dela...
