The first Vande Bharat Express train in Rajasthan was started on 12 April 2023 between Ajmer Junction and Delhi. This Vande Bharat Express train connects India's capital New Delhi and the Rajasthan capital Jaipur. The inaugural Vande Bharat train in Rajasthan travels a distance of 429 km within a duration of 5 hours and 15 minutes, maintaining an average speed of 82 km/h. During its journey, the train makes stops at a total of 6 stations. Notably, among these stations, three prominent ones – Alwar Junction, Jaipur Junction, and Ajmer Junction – are situated within the state of Rajasthan.
