Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the first Vande Bharat Express train on February 15, 2019, along the New Delhi-Kanpur-Allahabad-Varanasi route. The ceremony took place at the New Delhi Railway Station. In the last five years, the Indian railway has started 51 Vande Bharat Express, which is playing a very important role in train connectivity. Vande Bharat Express Train is currently the fastest train India which can run up to maximum speed of 180 km/h. Check out of the list states do not have Vande Bharat Train.
List of States Do Not Have Vande Bharat Train
Seven of the Northeast states do not have Vande Bharat Train connectivity. These states are Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. The main reason for not having a Vande Bharat train in these states is that they have mostly hilly areas. Tripura does not have much hilly area, and it is already connected with the Indian railway.
Till now, the Vande Bharat train has not reached Tripura because the railway line is not electrified. Vande Bharat Train runs only through electricity, so one railway line will be electrified in Tripura; Vande Bharat Express will soon started in this state.
The Vande Bharat train has a security system called KAVACH for safety. It features automatic doors for convenience and executive class seats that recline and revolve. Each seat has a mobile charging socket. Amenities include a bottle cooler, hot case, deep freezer, and water boiler. The lighting is both direct and diffused for a pleasant atmosphere. There’s also a special lavatory for passengers with disabilities. Emergency exits and fire extinguishers are available in all coaches. Security cameras, Wi-Fi, smoke alarms, and an odour control system are also installed in each coach for enhanced safety.
