Patna Gaya Railway Line is one of Bihar’s most important railway lines because it connects the Howrah New Delhi railway line and plays a very important role in train connectivity.

The Neora–Daniyawan–Bihar Sharif–Sheikhpura line is a proposed railway line connecting Neora on the Howrah–Delhi main line and Sheikhpura on the Gaya–Kiul line. The line will cross the Jatdumri Halt on the Patna Gaya railway line. Jatdumri Halt will receive trains from four directions, so It will now become Jatdumri Junction. Jatdumri Junction is now the first junction between Patna and Gaya. Patna Gaya Railway Line was built in 1900 by British India. The Patna to Gaya railway line was fully electrified in 2003.
Jatdumri Junction will play a very important role in train transportation as it will reduce the travel time between many districts of Bihar. Jatdumri Junction will connect Neora on the Howrah–Delhi main line near Danapur and Daniyawan on Fatuha–Tilaiya line, Bihar Sharif on Bakhtiyarpur–Tilaiya line and Sheikhpura on Gaya–Kiul line. In 2002-03, Indian Railways gave the thumbs up to the Neora-Daniyawan-Bihar Sharif-Sheikhpura line to ease the burden on the Danapur-Kiul route of the Howrah-Delhi main line. It was a big plan to make train travel smoother on the Patna-Jhajha-Howrah railway route.
The Danapur part of East Central Railway (ECR) said “yes” to building six tunnels and a bridge with ramps on the Patna Gaya Railway line, also known as the PG line. This is to make travel safer and easier for passengers, so trains can move better and there’s less crowding. This shows that the railway is serious about making things better and more modern, putting passengers’ safety and comfort first.
The railways will build tunnels at Nathupur Road, Kurthoul, Dhanuchak, and Mahuli on the PG line. They will also build concrete footbridge ramps at Parthu, Pothi, Guruptichak, Nadwa, and Bhalua. These ramps will help small vehicles like auto rickshaws, cars, and ambulances pass through in an emergency.
