Currently, three Vande Bharat Expresses are running from Bihar. Bihar is waiting for the Vande Bharat Express, which will connect North and South Bihar.
Bihar is the 12th largest state in India by area and the third largest state by population. However, it has received only three Vande Bharat Express trains so far. The Vande Bharat Express train is currently the fastest train in India and provides the most comfortable train journey to passengers. According to sources, Indian Railway plans to start a new Vande Bharat Express between Darbhanga and Varanasi, connecting directly to North and South Bihar.
Vande Bharat Express, to connect North and South Bihar, will cover a distance of 510 km between Varanasi and Darbhanga in South Bihar. This Vande Bharat is also important because it will connect some important tourist places like Gaya, Bodhgaya, Patna, Sitamarhi and Varanasi. Currently there is no direct train which connects Varanasi, Gaya, Patna and Darbhanga. Now, the fastest train between Varanasi and Darbhanga is the JYG LTT Express, which takes 9 hours and 20 minutes to cover the distance between these two stations.
Darbhanga Varanasi Vande Bharat Express will stop at Samastipur Junction, Barauni Junction, Patna Junction, Gaya Junction and Sasaram between Darbhanga and Varanasi. The Vande Bharat will take 7 hours to cover a distance of 510 km between Darbhanga and Varanasi. This train will be 2 hours and 30 minutes faster as compared to the current train between Darbhanga and Varanasi.
This is a great news for the people of North Bihar, as it will provide them with a comfortable and fast mode of transportation to the south Bihar. This Vande Bharat Express will attract the Hindu pilgrimage from all over the world. Sitamarhi is a major religious center and is home to the birthplace of Sita, the wife of Lord Rama.
