Agra Metro is an under-construction rapid transit network in Agra. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) was submitted in 2014 and cleared by the Uttar Pradesh government cabinet in 2015. As of July 2016, RITES has prepared DPR and submitted to the state government. December 2020: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Civil Construction work for Agra Metro Project.

Agra Metro Route
The Agra Metro route is set to consist of two metro lines, with a total length of 29.65 kilometres (18.42 mi). Sikandra to Taj East Gate metro corridor 14.00 km is partly elevated and partly underground and comprises 13 stations (6-Elevated and 7-Underground). The length of the Agra Cantt to Kalindi Vihar metro corridor is 15.40 km, comprising 14 elevated stations.
Agra Metro Status
The latest status about Agra Metro is that the train trail run has started between Agra Metro depot to Taj East Gate Station. During the first trial metro covered a distance of 3 km between the depot to Taj East Gate station. Taj East Gate metro station is located on the Yellow line. Agra Metro is working ahead of the target time, and there is a chance it will start running six months before schedule time.

There are 14 metro stations on the Yellow Line and 15 on the blue line Agra Metro. Agra College will be the interchange station where Sikandra to Taj East Gate and Agra Cantt to Kalandi Vihar metro route will be connected.

Agra Metro Ticket Price
Agra Metro ticket price will depend on the distance between stations and the number of stations travelled by passengers. According to the sources, the minimum ticket price for Agra Metro will be 11 rupees, and the maximum will be 45 rupees. The ticket price will be higher than the bus fare but it will cheaper than the taxi fare.
