Bhopal Metro Route, Station List, Status, Ticket Price and Start Date

The Bhopal Metro, also known as Bhoj Metro will be the largest metro network in Madhya Pradesh. The owner of Bhoj Metro is Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited.

Bhopal is the capital city of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal is the largest city in Madhya Pradesh, the 15th largest city in India and the 125th city in the world. Bhopal is considered one of the important financial and economic destinations in Madhya Pradesh. Developing a metro rail network in Bhopal will make more comfortable connectivity for travelling which will help in the economic development of Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh. Due to various natural and artificial lakes, Bhopal is also known as the city of lakes.

Bhopal Metro Map consists of 6 corridors covering a distance of 104.87 kilometres. The first two corridors will be developed on a priority basis, and later 4 corridors will be get developed.

The Bhopal Metro route is set to consist of two metro lines, with a total length of 28 kilometres. Karond Circle to AIIMS metro corridor 15.00 km is partly elevated and partly underground and comprises 16 stations. The length of the Bhadbhada Square to Ratnagiri Tiraha metro corridor is 13 km, comprising 12 elevated stations.

Bhopal Metro Status

According to the sources trial run of the Bhopal Metro in the 4-km-long priority, corridor will start next month, August 2023. The coaches have already left the manufacturing unit, and they will reach the metro depot at Subhash Nagar in the first week of August 2023. Madhya Pradesh Metro Corporations officials said that work is continuing despite of monsoon season. Work has not stopped due to rain, and the target will be achieved on time.

Bhopal Metro has two lines, the Purple and Red Line. We are sharing the Bhopal Metro station name list according to the line. There are 28 metro stations in Bhopal Metro in the first phase. There are 16 metro stations on the Purple Line and 12 on the Red Line Bhopal Metro. Bogda Pul metro station will be the interchange station where Karond Circle to AIIMS and Bhadbhada Square to Ratnagiri Tiraha metro routes will be connected.

Bhopal Metro Ticket Price

Bhoj Metro ticket price will depend on the distance between stations and the number of stations travelled by passengers. According to the sources, the minimum ticket price for Bhoj Metro will be 9 rupees, and the maximum will be 35 rupees.

n May 2013. Ar. Rohit Gupta was appointed to prepare a detailed project report for the MRTS. The government of Madhya Pradesh approved the inception report prepared by the consultant on 30 June 2014. On 1 May 2019, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) gave in-principle approval to fund the Bhoj Metro project. Dilip Buildcon began construction of an elevated viaduct between Shubash Nagar And AIIMS on January 2019. Till Aug 2020, 80 pillars have already been constructed.

Bhopal Metro Facilities

  1. During the starting period, the metro will have 4 coaches.
  2. Reserved seats for women in all the coaches.
  3. There will be three types of run – on road, on bridges, and underground in some locations.
  4. CCTV facility at the platforms, stations and in train coaches.
  5. Metro will have an automatic door opening and closing system.
  6. Every metro station will have toilet facilities.
  7. Metro station will connect all major railway stations of Bhopal.
  8. All metro will be air-conditioned.
  9. Every Metro coach will have a charging point for mobile and laptops.
  10. Escalators and lifts will be fitted at the Metro stations for the ease and speed of the travellers.

After starting the Bhoj Metro it will chnage the way people are travelling in Bhopal. It will provide a safe, reliable, and swift mode of transportation. Bhoj Metro will enhancing connectivity which will increased the tourist in city and will help in economic growrth. Bhoj Metro will also added to modern infrastructure for sustainable development.

When Will Bhopal Metro Start?

Bhopal Metro’s Priority Corridor will be start from first week of March 2024. The trail run will start from last week of August 2023 and it will be open for public in March 2024.
