According to the railway officials, three Bihar Vande Bharat Express will start from different stations, connecting four other states Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh.
Bihar has been allocated a whopping Rs 8,505 crore in Budget 2023 for railway expansion and development. This fund will be used for building new stations, redevelopment of the old stations, railway crossing flyovers, and new Vande Bharat trains on different routes. According to the Union Budget announcement, the state’s capital Patna and Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi have got the maximum amount for railway development.
When Bihar Vande Bharat Express Will Start?
The final date for the first Bihar Vande Bharat Express has not been announced officially. Sources state that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the first Vande Bharat Train in Bihar by the end of April 2023. The first Vande Bharat Express in Bihar will run between Patna and Ranchi. The second Vande Bharat train in Bihar will run between Patna and Howrah. The third Vande Bharat Express for Bihar will be Varanasi Howrah Vande Bharat which will run via Gaya station in Bihar.
Bihar Vande Bharat Express Route
According to the Union Budget announcement, the first Vande Bharat Express route in Bihar will connect Patna and Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi. On this route, Vande Bharat will be at some major stations like Jehanabad, Gaya, Koderma, Hazaribagh Town, Barkakana, Tatisilwai, and Ranchi. The second Bihar Vande Bharat Train will connect Patna and Howrah. The third Bihar Vande Bharat train does not have a source and destination station in Bihar, but it will pass through Gaya in Bihar.
Bihar Vande Bharat Express Distance Covered
The Patna Ranchi Vande Bharat Express will cover a distance of 407 km. Patna Howrah Vande Bharat train will cover a distance of 534 km. Varanasi Howrah, which will connect Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and Howrah in West Bengal, will cover a distance of 680 km. Varanasi Howrah Vande Bharat Express will be the longest-distance running Vande Bharat train in Bihar, which will pass through Gaya station.
Bihar Vande Bharat Express Details
According to the sources, Bihar Vande Bharat Express will run up to 130 km/h. Due to the railway track speed capacity and traffic constraints, the operating speed of the train is limited to 130 km/h. The train is designed by RDSO and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), located in Chennai. It will be a 2nd Generation Vande Bharat Express train with 14 AC Chair Car and 2 Executive Chair Cars coaches.
Bihar Vande Bharat Express Facilities
Bihar Vande Bharat Express train will be fully equipped with modern amenities like a GPS-based infotainment system, Wi-Fi, and CCTV surveillance, with all fully-automatic doors. The seats are all facilitated with 360 degrees rotating features in the AC Chair Car Economy Class. Every seat has sockets for charging electronic devices like laptops and mobile phones. Each coach has LED screen lights that display the next stoppage, train speed and other important information. The train toilets also have diffused lighting, hands-free taps and dryers as added features for the passengers’ aid.
