The development comes a day after Trivendra Singh Rawat resigned as the CM of Uttarakhand, following days of political instability in the state. Earlier, there were four names considered as the successor of Trivendra —Dhan Singh Rawat, Anil Baluni, Ajay Bhatt and Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.
