After Vijay Nair’s name was mentioned in the Delhi excise policy case, everyone wondered about the connection between Arvind Kejriwal and Vijay Nair.
On Monday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) informed the Rouse Avenue Court that Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), stated to the central agency that Vijay Nair, an accused in the Delhi excise policy case, reported to Delhi minister Atishi.
Delhi Minister Atishi Marlena may face mounting trouble as Arvind Kejriwal reportedly implicated her in the Delhi Liquor Policy scam. Additional Solicitor General (ASG) SV Raju, representing the Enforcement Directorate (ED), cited Kejriwal’s statement indicating that the controversial middleman Vijay Nair reported to Atishi Marlena rather than to him.
AAP leader Jasmine Shah laughed at what the ED said. He explained that Vijay Nair already mentioned he didn’t report to Arvind Kejriwal when he was first held. “When Vijay Nair was detained, he said he reports to Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj, not the Chief Minister. So, why is the ED repeating the same thing after one-and-a-half years?” Shah questioned.
