Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology College will organise a one-day NCC fest on 9 April 2024.
The Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology NCC unit organized the inaugural edition of the annual NCC Fest, VANDE SHAKTI’24, on 9th April 2024. The college received 246 registrations from twenty-one colleges, including Delhi University and GGSIPU University. The Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology has invited all colleges in Delhi NCR, which has an NCC team. There are limited colleges in Delhi NCR that provide NCC training. The NCC in India started in 1948. It has its roots in the ‘University Corps’ made under the Indian Defence Act 1917. This was to fill in the shortage of people in the Army.
The NCC Fest event began with Maj. S.P. Vishwasrao’s arrival. FIMT cadets gave him the Guard of Honour. In the auditorium, the skit “Yamuna in Duvidha” was preceded by Ganesh Vandana and lamp lighting, after being addressed by ADG Sir, the NCC Fest competition began. Nine competitions were held, followed by the address and prize distribution by Brig Devasheesh Choudhury, sir, Group Commander C. It ended with a vote of thanks from the NCC cadet and director, Prof. ( Dr.) Saroj Vyas.

For the best cadet competition, Cdt Devesh Bhardwaj from Rajdhani College bagged the first position. Nancy and Naina from St. Stephen’s Colleges win the debate/declamation competition. CDT Diksha from Kirori Mal College bagged the first position in an essay writing competition. CDT Dakshita & team from Maitreyi College won the first position in the flag area competition.
The solo dance competition was full of music and colours. The solo song and group song winner is CDT Aditya from Hansraj College. Best solo dance announcedCDT Sezer from Daulat Ram College. Quarter guard won by Team Hansraj College. Reel-making competition bagges by CDT Abeer Anjan & CDT Alisha Kumawat from Hansraj College. A total of 9 completions were held during the FIMT NCC fest, and Hansraj College won the maximum 4 awards.
