IPHH College of Nursing Celebrated International Nurses’ Day

IPHH College of Nursing’s Department of Nursing organized a program on Nurse’s Day at the Institute of Public Health and Hygiene, Mahipalpur!

International Nurses Day is celebrated worldwide every year on May 12th, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth. It is an opportunity to celebrate our nurses and their unwavering commitment to making a difference in people’s lives. The program was supervised by Nursing Faculties and held on May 12th, 2023, in IPHH College of Nursing, New Delhi, from 10 AM to 1 PM.

International Nurses’ Day at IPHH College of Nursing

The celebration began with a welcome speech by Ms AKANSHA (Nursing Tutor IPH&H) for our Guests Dr Anita Mukharjee (Principal IPH&H), Mr Anil, and Ms Asha Nadar (Principal, School of Nursing IPH&H). ANM 1st year students performed a welcome dance!

The lamp lighting ceremony was hosted by Ms Megha (Nursing Tutor IPH&H), where ANM 1st year students took a pledge. The program continued with various ANM 1st and 2nd-year dance performances, 4 group and four solo performances, one skit on personal hygiene by ANM 1st-year students, and poster presentations.

Principal Dr Anita Mukharjee shared some words on the importance of nurses for our world and encouraged upcoming nurses of our college. By the end of the program, Ms Asha Nadar gave awards to the students who ranked first in their first year and the student who performed well in their academic and extracurricular activities.

The program was a great success and fulfilled all the objectives of the program. Students enjoyed the celebration of Nurse’s Day and their pledge ceremony. They were motivated and enthusiastic to have chosen the noble profession of helping and caring for people.
