List of Festivals in August 2022
1. Nag Panchami 2022 Date
Naga Panchami is a day of traditional worship of Nagas or snakes, observed by Hindus all over India and other countries where Hindus live. When Parikshit’s son Janamejaya recited the mantra to Takshak and Indra to sacrifice in the fire pit during his sacrifice for the destruction of serpents, the believer saved Takshak’s life. Thus the existence of the snakes was protected. And since then, the practice of worshipping Nag Devta started on the day of Nag Panchami. Nag Panchami 2022 is on August 02, Tuesday. This date was also Panchami.
2. Raksha Bandhan 2022 Date
There are many stories about the Raksha Bandhan in India. The most important story of Raksha Bandhan is related to the Hindu epic Mahabharata. In Mahabharata, Lord Krishna once cut his finger, which then started bleeding. Draupadi then tore a piece of cloth from her saree and tied it to his finger to stop the bleeding. The part of cloth then became a sacred thread. This year Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on Thursday, 11 August, 2022, and this is one of the most famous festivals in August 2022.
3. Kajari Teej 2022 Date
Kajari Teej is one of the women’s most important festivals in August 2022. According to the Hindu calendar, Kajari Teej is celebrated on the third day of Krishna Paksha of the Hindu month of Bhadrapada. Kajari Teej is also known by the names like Kajli Teej and Badi Teej.
4. Janmashtami 2022 Date
Krishna Janmashtami, also known simply as Janmashtami or Gokulashtami, is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Krishna. It is usually observed on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Sharavan or Bhadrapad. This year, the Janmashtami celebrations will be on 19 August 2022, Friday.

5. Hariyali Teej 2022 Date
Haryali Teej is celebrated on the third day after the new moon in the month of Sawan. As Sawan falls during the monsoon or rainy season when the surroundings become green, the Shraavana Teej is also called Hariyali Teej. Hariyali Teej is celebrated because of the day when Shiva accepted Parvati as his wife. Parvati fasted, was austere for many years, and was taken by Shiva as his wife in her 108 birth. Hartalika Teej will celebrate on 30 August 2022, Tuesday.
6. Ganesh Chaturthi 2022 Date
Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, or Vinayaka Chaviti, is a Hindu festival celebrating the arrival of Lord Ganesh to earth from Kailash Parvat with his mother, Goddess Parvati/Gauri. Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival that is annually celebrated across the country to mark the birth of Lord Ganesha. Ganesha Chaturthi is one of the main festivals in August 2022 in Maharastra, India. In 2022, Ganesha Chaturthi will be observed on Wednesday, August 31.
