To manage the massive influx of devotees expected during the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of multiple Kumbh special trains from Kolkata.

These trains aim to ensure a smooth travel experience for passengers while addressing the increased rush during this spiritual gathering. The Eastern Railway zone has meticulously planned several services to accommodate the high demand, offering additional berths and convenient routes.

Malda Town–Prayagraj Rambag Kumbh Mela Special

Train No. 03409 (Malda Town–Prayagraj Rambag)
This train will depart from Malda Town every Thursday and Saturday between January 2, 2025, and February 22, 2025, totaling 11 trips. Departure is scheduled for 20:45 hrs, arriving at Prayagraj Rambag at 17:15 hrs the next day.

Train No. 03410 (Prayagraj Rambag–Malda Town)
The return service will run every Friday and Sunday between January 3, 2025, and February 23, 2025. It will depart Prayagraj Rambag at 19:15 hrs, reaching Malda Town at 14:30 hrs the following day.

Halts: These trains will stop at New Farakka, Barharwa, Sahibganj, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Sultanganj, Jamalpur, and Abhaipur stations in both directions.

Composition: General Second Class, Sleeper Class, and Air-Conditioned accommodations will be available.

Howrah–Tundla–Howrah Kumbh Mela Special

Train No. 03025 (Howrah–Tundla)
This train will operate on February 28, 2025, departing from Howrah at 05:45 hrs and arriving at Tundla at 06:30 hrs the next day.

Train No. 03026 (Tundla–Howrah)
The return service will run on March 1, 2025, departing Tundla at 11:20 hrs and arriving at Howrah at 15:20 hrs the next day.

Additional Services (Train Nos. 03029/03030):
This service will run on January 23, February 6, and February 20, 2025, departing Howrah at 19:35 hrs and reaching Tundla at 20:15 hrs the next day. The return trips will operate on January 25, February 8, and February 22, departing Tundla at 03:00 hrs and arriving at Howrah at 03:30 hrs the following day.

Halts: Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, and Asansol stations in both directions.

Composition: General Second Class, Sleeper Class, and Air-Conditioned accommodations will be available.

Howrah–Bhind–Howrah Kumbh Mela Special

Train No. 03031/03032
This train will run on January 1, 18, and February 19, 2025, departing from Howrah at 00:30 hrs and arriving at Bhind at 01:05 hrs the next day. The return trips will run on January 2, 19, and February 20, departing Bhind at 03:30 hrs and arriving at Howrah at 03:30 hrs the next day.

Additional Services (Train Nos. 03033/03034):
A one-time trip will be conducted on January 26, 2025, from Howrah to Bhind, departing at 00:30 hrs and arriving at 01:05 hrs the next day. The return trip will depart Bhind on January 27, arriving at Howrah at 03:30 hrs the following day.

Halts: Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, and Asansol stations in both directions.

Composition: General Second Class, Sleeper Class, and Air-Conditioned accommodations will be available.
