Prime Minister Narendra Modi has Inaugurated the New Hyderabad Raichur DEMU Train which will connect Kacheguda station in Hyderabad and Raichur.
The new Hyderabad Raichur DEMU Train is the second DEMU train between Hyderabad and Raichur. Currently, there is only one DEMU train is running between Hyderabad and Raichur, which leaves Kacheguda at 6:25 am and reaches Raichur Junction at 12:10 pm. This DEMU Train takes 5 hours and 45 minutes to run a distance of 238 km between Hyderabad and Raichur. The same after halting around 5 hours at Raichur Junction leave Raichur Junction at 5 pm and reach Kacheguda at 10:30 pm.

According to the sources, the new Hyderabad Raichur DEMU Train will leave Raichur Junction at 6:30 am and will reach Kacheguda at 1 p.m. After halting for 4 hours, the same train will leave Kacheguda at 5 pm and will reach Raichur Junction at 10:30 pm.
The introduction of the new Hyderabad Raichur DEMU Train Train promises to improve connectivity between the states of Telangana and Karnataka significantly. Currently, most travellers between Hyderabad and Raichur rely on buses, which can be both expensive and time-consuming. The DEMU Train is set to connect key stations such as Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Mahabubnagar, and Narayapet in Telangana, as well as Raichur in Karnataka.
