Secunderabad Tirupati Vande Bharat Express train launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last month began with eight coaches, but due to high demand from Wednesday, it will run with 16 coaches.
South Central Railway said that The Vande Bharat Express trains on the Secunderabad Tirupati route would run faster by 15 minutes and carry more than twice the passengers from May 17, 2023. Currently, Secunderabad Tirupati Vande Bharat Express has eight coaches carrying 530 passengers, but from 17 May same train will have 16 coaches with 1,128 passengers.
Starting May 17, the train will have 14 chair cars with a capacity of 1,024 passengers and two executive class coaches with 104 seats. Arun Kumar Jain, SCR General Manager, said that by doubling the number of coaches, more rail passengers would be able to utilise the Vande Bharat train services.
