The Ganga Times, Uttarakhand News: Tirath Singh Rawat will be the new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, confirmed BJP after its legislature party meeting in Dehradun.
The development comes a day after Trivendra Singh Rawat resigned as the CM of Uttarakhand, following days of political instability in the state.
Earlier, there were four names considered as the successor of Trivendra —Dhan Singh Rawat, Anil Baluni, Ajay Bhatt and Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. He is considered to be a RSS person and is the favourite of PM Modi and Amit Shah.
