The first 44 Vande Bharat Train Manufacturing Company name is Medha Servo Drives Ltd. Medha Servo Drives Pvt. Ltd. is a Hyderbad-based company which was founded in 1984. Medha Servo Drives Pvt. Ltd s focused on rail transportation. The company have designed and manufactured various world-class high-tech electronics products for application on locomotives, trainsets, coaches, railway stations and yards.
Expanding beyond the railway domain, Medha has diversified its product portfolio to encompass Solar inverters and Electric Vehicle Propulsion Systems. Medha’s facilities in Hyderabad, India, span across 15 acres, boasting more than 350,000 sq.ft. of indoor space dedicated to housing production equipment and assembly lines.
Vande Bharat Train Manufacturing Cost
The Vande Bharat Express comprises two categories that are Executive Chair (EC) and AC Chair Car (CC). The manufacturing cost of Executive Chair (EC) and AC Chair Car (CC) coaches are almost the same. Vande Bharat Train Manufacturing Contract
The manufacturing contract of the first 44 rakes of the Vande Bharat Express train was given to Hyderabad-based Medha Servo Drives Ltd. The Indian Railways has successfully concluded its tender process for 44 rakes of Vande Bharat trains, each consisting of 16 cars. The Vande Bharat Train Manufacturing Contract, valued at ₹2211 crore, has been awarded to Medha Servo Drives Ltd, a Hyderabad-based company.
Among the other five bidders, the lineup included state-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Bharat Industries of Sangrur, Electrowaves Electronics (P) Ltd, MEDHA Servo Drives Private Limited, and Powernetics Equipment India Private Limited, as indicated by the railway ministry.
