Howrah third Vande Bharat Express train will be launched next week. The Vande Bharat train trail run has been successfully conducted between Howrah and Patna.
Howrah railway station, which is also known as Howrah Junction, is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. Howrah Junction is one of the busiest and largest stations in India. The station comprises a total of 23 platforms. Among these, platforms 1 to 16 are situated within the old complex and cater to both local and long-distance trains operated by the Eastern Railway, as well as local trains of the South Eastern Railway.
On the other hand, platforms 17 to 23 are situated in the new complex, known as “Terminal 2,” which primarily serves the long-distance trains operated by the South Eastern Railway. Howrah’s first Vande Bharat Express train was launched around 8 months back on 1 January 2023 between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri. This was also the first West Bengal Vande Bharat train. Howrah’s first Vande Bharat Express train covers a distance of 561 km in 07 hrs 30 mins with an average speed of 75 km/h.

Howrah third Vande Bharat train route will connect West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar. Howrah second Vande Bharat Express train route covers a distance of 500 km in 6 hours and 25 minutes with an average speed of 78 km/h. Howrah’s third Vande Bharat train route will cover a distance of 532 km between Howrah Junction in West Bengal and Patna Junction in Bihar.
Howrah Third Vande Bharat Express Train Timetable
The Howrah Third Vande Bharat Express is scheduled to depart from Patna Junction at 8:00 am and arrive at Howrah Junction by 2:30 pm. For its return journey, the train will depart from Howrah Junction at 3:55 pm and reach Patna Junction at 10:30 pm. The journey between Howrah and Patna on the Howrah third Vande Bharat Express is completed in a time span of just 6 hours and 30 minutes.
Howrah Third Vande Bharat Express Train Stoppages List
Howrah Third Vande Bharat Express Train will have two stoppages in Asansol and Jasidih between Howrah Junction and Patna Junction. Asansol Junction is located in West Bengal, so the Howrah Third Vande Bharat Express Train will have two stoppages in West Bengal. The Vande Bharat Express on the Howrah-Patna route is set to have one stoppage in the state of Jharkhand and one stoppage in the state of West Bengal between its journey from Howrah to Patna.
When Will Howrah Third Vande Bharat Express Train Start?
The train trail runs for Howrah Third Vande Bharat Express have been completed, and the stoppages list has been finalized. There is no official announcement has been made by the Indian railway about the train starting date, but according to the sources Howrah Third Vande Bharat Express Train will be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on August 15, 2023.
