South Central Railway Second Vande Bharat Will Launched Next Week

The South Central Railway zone encompasses the states of Telangana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. This zone was established on October 1, 1966, through the amalgamation of previously distinct divisions, including Hubli and Vijayawada from the Southern Railway zone, as well as Solapur and Secunderabad from the Nizam’s Guaranteed State Railway’s division. The South Central Railway zone has three divisions of Secunderabad railway division, Hyderabad railway division and Nanded railway division.

South Central Railway first Vande Bharat Express train was launched on 8 April 2023 between Secunderabad and Tirupati, which is known as Secunderabad Tirupati Vande Bharat Express. The Secunderabad Tirupati Vande Bharat Express traverses a distance of 662 km, connecting Secunderabad and Tirupati within a span of 8 hours and 15 minutes. Presently, the train numbered as 20701/20702 offers 14 AC Chair Car coaches and 2 Executive Chair Car coaches. This train operates on a six-day-a-week schedule.

South Central Railway Second Vande Bharat Express Train Route

South Central Railway Second Vande Bharat Express Train Route will connect two Indian cities Hyderabad in Telangana and Bangalore in Karnataka. This Vande Bharat train route will cover a distance of 618 km between Kacheguda in Hyderabad, Telangana and Yesvantpur in Bangalore, Karnataka. This south central railway Vande Bharat route will cover less distance as compared to the first south central railway Vande Bharat train.

South Central Railway Second Vande Bharat Express Train will stop at  Sedam, Raichur Junction, and Guntakal Junction. South Central Railway’s first Vande Bharat Express Train stop at Nalgonda, Guntur Junction, Ongole and Nellore between Secunderabad Junction and Tirupati.

Why South Central Railway is Famous For Vande Bharat Train?

South Central Railway is famous because there is a huge demand for Vande Bharat Train. The first Vande Bharat train on South Central Railway was converted from Mini Vande Bharat 2.0 Express train to a Vande Bharat Express 2.0 train. The decision was taken because of the high demand and high occupancy rate in Secunderabad Tirupati Vande Bharat Express. It has been converted from an 8-coach rake to a 16-coach rake Vande Bharat Train.

When Will South Central Railway Second Vande Bharat Express Train Start?

Senior railway officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, have revealed that intensive efforts are underway to swiftly implement electric traction and other necessary infrastructure enhancements in order to prepare the system for the operation of the Vande Bharat train at a speed of 130 km/h. According to the report, the South Central Railway Second Vande Bharat train is scheduled to start on the last week of August 2023.
