Rourkela Puri Vande Bharat Express will be the first Vande Bharat for Rourkela and second Vande Bharat for Puri. Puri has received its first Vande Bharat on 20 May 2023 which was the India’s 16th Vande Bharat Express train. The Vande Bharat Express stands as one of India’s most renowned and favored train services, serving numerous routes throughout the nation. Now, the second Vande Bharat Express in Odisha will run between Rourkela and Puri.
Puri Rourkela Vande Bharat Express will stop for 2 minutes at every stations except Bhubaneswar, where it will stop for five minutes. This Vande Bharat is expected to run six days a week except Saturdays. The first trail run was conducted on 12 Sepember and second trail run was conducted on 20 September 2023. This will be the first Vande Bharat Express in Odisha which will have all stoppages in Odisha.

Rourkela Puri Vande Bharat Express Route will cover a distance of 525 km between Rourkela and Puri. This Vande Bharat train will connect the coastal districts of the state to its western region. This train will help to boost tourism in Odisha.
Rourkela Puri Vande Bharat Express Stoppages List
Rourkela Puri Vande Bharat train will stop at 10 station namely, Puri, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Kerejanga, Sambalpur city, Jharsuguda and Rourkela. This will be the first Vande Bharat Express in India which will have ten stoppages. Mostly Vande Bharat train have limited number of stoppages so that it can take less travel times between source and destination stations.
Rourkela Puri Vande Bharat Express Timetable
Rourkela Puri Vande Bharat Express will leave Puri station at 5 am to reach Bhubaneswar at 6.05 am, and left after five minutes for the onward journey and will reach final destination Rourkela at 12:30 pm. On its return journey, the train will leave Rourkela at 2.10 pm and reach Puri at 9.40 pm. The train will take 7 hours and 30 minutes to cover a distance of 525 km between Rourkela and Puri.

Rourkela Puri Vande Bharat Express might officially be flagged off by Prime Minister Narender Modi on 24 September 2023.
