The FIMT-Legal Aid Society, in association with South-West DSLSA and the Indian Red Cross Society, organised a blood donation camp on 09-05-2023.
Blood donation is a selfless act that helps save lives. It is one of the most positive ways to help someone in need. By donating blood, we are donating an irreplaceable gift that will save someone’s life. The camp was aimed to encourage youngsters to step forward and donate blood as the city faces a shortage of blood.
The Blood donation camps had always been organised by the NCC and the NSS wings of the Fairfield Insitute of Management and Technology, and they felt proud of the students who undertook this cause. The mobile van of the Indian Red Cross Society reached the FIMT-Campus at 10:30, comprising a team of 7 members, including one professional Doctor for the Blood donation camp.
The volunteers of FIMT-Legal Aid society registered the donors, after which the preliminary health checkup was conducted by the Doctor before donating blood. The overwhelming number of student donors has made the FIMT family proud. In total, 55 Units of blood were donated. During the Camp, the south-West DSLSA Secretary was also present. Lastly, the Chairman of the Institute, Shri. V.K.N. Bhardwaj also met the Legal Aid Society volunteers.
