The Railway Safety Commissioner (Western Circle) has given approval for CORC trials of a Mumbai To Ahmedabad Vande Bharat train set with a new design propulsion system and bogies. These trials will run in both directions along the Mumbai Central-Vadodara-Ahmedabad route of the Western Railway. A letter from the Railway Safety Commissioner to the general manager of WR says that COCY trials should happen during the daytime and in good weather only.

They also say that Railway Protection Force personnel and railway officials must be at level crossing gates during trials to stop people from crossing and to put up barriers. Additionally, the train drivers must be trained and checked by doctors before the trial begins.
