Northeast Frontier Railways is working on all the possibilities of starting the Vande Bharat Express train between Agartala and Guhahati as soon as possible. Agartala and Guwahati are two important cities in North East India. The Vande Bharat Train between this station will benefit lakhs of passengers. Currently, the fastest train between Agartala and Guwahati is Tejas Express, which takes around 12 hours to complete a journey of 570 km between Agartala and Guwahati.
Currently, no train runs daily between Agartala and Guwahati. After starting the Vande Bharat Express, the travel time will reduce to just 7 hours, which is 5 hours faster than the current travel time by any train. Guwahati received its first Vande Bharat Express train on 29 May 2023, which connects New Jalpaiguri Jn, New Cooch Behar Jn, New Alipurduar, Kokrajhar, New Bongaigaon Jn, Kamakhya Jn and Guwahati. Agartala to Guwahati Vande Bharat Express will be the second Vande Bharat Express for Assam and first Vande Bharat Express for Tripura.

Agartala Guwahati Vande Bharat Express Route will cover a distance of 571 km between Agartala and Guwahati. Apart from Guwahati all station on this route will get their first Vande Bharat Express.

Agartala Guwahati Vande Bharat Express will stop at Hojai, Badapur Junction, New Karimganj, Dharmangar and Ambasa between Agartala and Guwahati.

As per the reports, the train will start from Agartala at 6 am and reach Guwahati at 1:30 pm. The same train will leave Guwahati by 2 pm and reach Agartala around 9:30 pm. It will take around 7:30 minutes to complete the journey.

Agartala Guwahati Vande Bharat Express Ticket Price will be around 1380 rupees for a single journey in AC Chair Car class and 2395 rupees for Exec. Chair Car (EC).
