The Consortium of National Law Universities has begun the registrations for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2024) exam. CLAT 2024 exam date has been announced by The Consortium of National Law Universities.
After the second-generation reforms of Legal Education, the 1st National Law University, namely, the National Law School of India University, was established in Bangalore in 1987. NLUs were created on the pattern of IIMs and IITs. NLUs have changed the face of legal education in India. India is the only country in the world with Universities for legal discipline alone. The first CLAT was conducted in 2008, which was MCQ based and offline. The Consortium became the legal entity registered in Bangalore under the Karnataka Co-operative Society Act of 26-03-2019, in which 16 NLUs signed and became the Consortium’s founding members.
CLAT 2024 Registration Date
The online enrolment for CLAT 2024 will open on July 1 2023, and close on November 3 2023. The application form, complete in all respects and after payment of fees, must be submitted and paid on or before November 3 2023 (11:59 PM). Incomplete application forms shall not be considered. The candidates shall complete and submit the application form well to avoid last-minute hassles.

CLAT 2024 Registration Process
The candidates must first register at the CLAT 2024 website using their mobile number and e-mail Id. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number for validation upon registration. Once the mobile number is validated, candidates can log in using the registered mobile number and the password provided at the time of registration. Please fill out the form carefully. The candidate’s name and the parents shall be spelt correctly in the application as in the Certificates/Mark sheets/Identity proof. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
The candidates must read the instructions carefully and furnish correct and authentic information. In case the information provided at any stage of the application, examination and admission process is found to be false or incorrect or if there is any discrepancy or mismatch between the information furnished by the candidate at the relevant section and the certificates/documents produced at the time of admission, the provisional admission offered to the candidate shall stand cancelled with immediate effect without assigning any further reason.
Suppose such discrepancy or mismatch relates to the candidate’s eligibility for inclusion in a particular reservation category. In that case, that candidate shall be considered for admission to the NLUs in subsequent rounds of the Admissions Counselling Process without being included in that reservation category.
CLAT 2024 Exam Date
The date of examination for CLAT 2024 is scheduled on 3rd December 2023 from 2 PM to 4 PM. The CLAT 2024 examination will be held in OFFLINE mode. Candidates are advised to visit CLAT 2024 website regularly for updates.
CLAT 2024 Fees
CLAT 2024 Examination will be conducted on December 3 from 2 PM to 4 PM. The application fee is ₹4,000 for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates. The application fee for SC/ST/BPL category candidates is ₹Rs3,500.
