GNM lateral entry is a two-year full-time diploma program offered by IPHH College of Nursing and Allied Health Science, Jammu and Kashmir.
The General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) programme aims to prepare young adults for direct bedside nursing care. Therefore, the training programme of 2 Years mainly focuses on developing practical, hands-on skills in the nursing process. IPHH College of Nursing and Allied, Health Science Jammu prepare nurses to keep pace with the latest professional and technological developments and use these for providing nursing care service. The scope of registered nurses after passing the GNM Programme for employment is in hospitals, clinics, public health areas, industry, defence etc.
GNM Lateral Entry Eligibility at IPHH College of Nursing and Allied Health Science
10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board.
Candidates are also eligible for State Open School recognized by the State Government and National Institute of Open Schools (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government. However, Science is preferable.
10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
Must have a Diploma in FMPHW / MMPHW/ANM course registered with J&K Paramedical/ Nursing Council.
There will be no age bar for candidates who have Diploma in FMPHW / MMPHW/ANM.
