After two successful train trail runs from Howrah to Patna Vande Bharat Express soon it is going to start a commercial run between Howrah and Patna.
Howrah To Patna Vande Bharat Express Train is one of the most awaited Vande Bharat Express trains for West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar. Despite having completed two successful trial runs, the Howrah to Patna Vande Bharat Express train is currently awaiting final approval from the Indian Railway Board before it can embark on its official inaugural commercial journey. The train successfully completed its maiden trial run on August 5, 2023, followed by a second trial run on August 12, 2023.
The anticipated date for the inauguration run, to be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is still pending confirmation. Subsequent to the inaugural run, the Vande Bharat train will commence its regular commercial service between Patna and Howrah. Howrah To Patna Vande Bharat Will be the third Vande Bharat Express for West Bengal and the Second Vande Bharat Express for Bihar. The first Vande Bharat Express of Bihar was started between Patna and Ranchi on June 27, 2023.
As stated by Birendra Kumar, the Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railways (ECR), the railway authorities have completed their preparations to launch the semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express on the Patna-Howrah route, spanning a distance of approximately 535 kilometres. Kumar noted that during the trial run, the train successfully completed the journey from Patna to Howrah in approximately 6 hours and 30 minutes.

Howrah Patna Vande Bharat Express train route will cover a distance of 535 km between Patna and Howrah in 6 hours and 30 minutes. This will be the mini Vande Bharat train which will have 8 coaches, including 7 AC Chair Car and 2 executive chair cars.
When Will Howrah To Patna Vande Bharat Express Commercial Run Start
As per the media reports Howrah To Patna Vande Bharat Commercial Run will start on 13 September 2023.
