Just one day before, the inauguration of Ayodhya International Airport has been renamed as Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhyadham.

2 days back, the Uttar Pradesh Government changed the name of Ayodhya Railway Station to Ayodhya Dhan Junction. The Uttar Pradesh Government has changed the name of many cities and railway stations in the last few years. The Ayodhya Dham junction is approximately 6 kilometers away from the Ram Mandir, and is anticipated to experience a significant increase in pedestrian traffic following the temple’s inauguration.

The Ayodhya Dham Junction is getting a makeover! It will have fresh platforms, new signs, escalators, and beautiful paintings of Lord Ram on the walls. Lots of exciting changes are happening during the upgrade. People say the railway station is not only modern but also has a lot of importance in myths. It looks like a big temple on the outside and has really modern stuff on the inside.

Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhyadham is located in Ayodhya, which is also known as the birthplace of Lord Shree Ram. Maharishi Valmiki International Airport is just 11 km away from the newly built Shree Ram Temple and 10 km away from Ayodhya Dham Junction.

The first part of the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhyadham cost Rs 1,450 crore. The airport’s main building will be 6,600 square meters big and can help around 9 lakh passengers every year. The front of the building looks like the temple that will be built in Ayodhya for Lord Ram.

The interiors of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhyadham are based on the life of Lord Shree Ram. Inside the airport building, you’ll see local art, paintings, and pictures showing the life of Lord Ram. The Ayodhya airport building also has eco-friendly things like special roofing, energy-saving LED lights, rainwater collection, nice landscaping with fountains, and a plant to clean water. The interiors of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport are totally different from any other airport in the world.

Why Did Ayodhya International Airport Name Get Changed?

The airport in Ayodhya will be called the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhyadham, named after the wise saint who wrote the Ramayana epic. The new airport has cool features like collecting rainwater, pretty gardens with fountains, a plant to clean water, a system to treat sewage, a solar power plant, and more. These things make the airport really good for the environment and help it get a five-star GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) rating.
