Currently, the Shatabdi Express is the fastest train on this route, departing from New Delhi at 6:20 AM and reaching Kathgodam at 11:55 AM, taking a total of 5 hours and 35 minutes. In contrast, the new Vande Bharat Express will complete this journey in just 4 hours, saving passengers 1 hour and 35 minutes of travel time.
Kathgodam Delhi Vande Bharat Express Route
The Delhi-Kathgodam Vande Bharat Express will be one of the shortest Vande Bharat routes, covering a distance of just 265 km between Anand Vihar Terminal and Kathgodam. Currently, the shortest Vande Bharat route is the Anand Vihar-Dehradun Vande Bharat, which covers 304 km in 4 hours and 45 minutes.
Kathgodam Delhi Vande Bharat Express Stoppages
As per media reports, the train will halt at the following stations between Anand Vihar and Kathgodam:
- Moradabad Junction
- Rampur Junction
- Rudrapur City
- Lalkuan Junction
- Haldwani
With a total of five stops in between, the train aims to offer an efficient and seamless journey for travelers.

According to sources, the proposed timetable for the Kathgodam-Delhi Vande Bharat Express is as follows:

- Arrival at Anand Vihar Terminal: 12:30 PM
- Departure from Anand Vihar Terminal: 3:00 PM
- Arrival at Kathgodam: 7:00 PM
