The New Jalpaiguri Guwahati Vande Bharat train will be the first Vande Bharat Express for North East India. New Jalpaiguri – Guwahati Vande Bharat will also be Assam’s first Vande Bharat train.
The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has started working on New Jalpaiguri Guwahati Vande Bharat Express for the grand launch. Currently, the NFR runs Vande Bharat Express only between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri, which connects two towns of West Bengal. The Vande Bharat Express has a maximum speed of 180 km per hour during testing, but due to technical problems in the track currently, Vande Bharat Express has a full commercial speed of 160 km per hour.
The Northeast Frontier Railway official said that the New Jalpaiguri Guwahati Vande Bharat Express could run at a maximum speed of 110 km per hour. Currently, only Rajdhani Express between New Jalpaiguri and Guwahati can maintain a speed of 110 km per hour. After starting New Jalpaiguri – Guwahati Vande Bharat, it will be the second Vande Bharat Express for West Bengal. Currently, Howrah New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express is running in West Bengal.
New Jalpaiguri Guwahati Vande Bharat Route
New Jalpaiguri – Guwahati Vande Bharat Route is one of the most crucial railway routes in North East India. The train connectivity in North East India is not very good. Still, after launching the New Jalpaiguri – Guwahati Vande Bharat, people can travel between New Jalpaiguri and Guwahati quickly.

The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is currently doing the trail run for New Jalpaiguri – Guwahati Vande Bharat between New Jalpaiguri and Guwahati. The final list of New Jalpaiguri Guwahati Vande Bharat Express stops will be announced after a successful trial run. According to the media reports New Jalpaiguri Guwahati Vande Bharat train will stop at New Cooch Behar and New Bongaigaon Junction between New Jalpaiguri and Guwahati.
New Jalpaiguri Guwahati Vande Bharat Timetable
The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is currently working on New Jalpaiguri – Guwahati Vande Bharat timetable and it will be announced soon. According to the sources, the train will start from New Jalpaiguri at 6:30 am and reach Guwahati at 12:30 pm. The same train will leave Guwahati junction by 2:30 pm and reach New Jalpaiguri around 8:30 pm. It will take around 6 hours to complete the journey.
New Jalpaiguri Guwahati Vande Bharat Ticket Price
New Jalpaiguri Guwahati Vande Bharat Express ticket price will be quite low as compared to some long-distance running Vande Bharat Express. This train will cover a distance of 410 km in 6 hours with an average speed of 68 km/h. According to the sources, New Jalpaiguri Guwahati Vande Bharat train ticket prices will be around 1065 rupees for a single journey in AC Chair Car class and 2025 rupees for Exec. Chair Car (EC).
