Currently, the travel time between North Bihar and Jharkhand is very high because no semi-high-speed trains are available. According to the sources, North Bihar and Jharkhand Vande Bharat Express will start between Darbhanga and Ranchi. The distance between Darbhanga and Ranchi is just 537 km, but travel time is more than 13 hours, which is very high as compared to distance.
There is no train that runs daily between Darbhanga and Ranchi, so passengers also find it very difficult to get a confirmed ticket, especially during the festival session. North Bihar and Jharkhand Vande Bharat Express trains will not only provide regular connectivity between Darbhanga and Ranchi but will also reduce the travel time by more than 7 hours. Currently there is only one Vande Bharat Express train that connects Bihar and Jharkhand.
There are four Vande Bharat Express trains running from Bihar, while Jharkhand has three Vande Bharat Express. Four Vande Bharat Express from Bihar connects Patna to Ranchi, Patna to Howrah, Patna to New Jalpaiguri and Patna to Lucknow. Three Vande Bharat Express from Jharkhand connects Ranchi to Patna, Ranchi to Howrah and Ranchi to Varanasi.

When Will North Bihar and Jharkhand Vande Bharat Express Start?
According to the sources, the North Bihar and Jharkhand Vande Bharat Express trail run will start at the end of April 2024, and the commercial run will start after 15 May 2024.
