Lucknow Kathgodam Vande Bharat Express will save three hours of travel time compared to other trains on the route between Lucknow and Kathgodam.
Currently, 2 trains cover the 380-km distance at an average travel time of around 8:30 hours. The new train will cover the distance in 5 hours, considerably bringing down the run time between Lucknow and Kathgodam. The Vande Bharat semi-high-speed train with modern passenger amenities is likely to attract tourists travelling to the hills in Uttrakhand. The train will be particularly advantageous for those who do not wish to spend a night on a train while travelling from Lucknow to Kathgodam. Currently, two trains are running from Lucknow, leaving Lucknow at night and reaching Kathgodam the next morning.
