India’s semi-high-speed train, the Vande Bharat Express, has achieved a notable accomplishment by extending its services to all electrified rail states nationwide. Vande Bharat Express holds the distinction of being the fastest passenger train along its designated route.
The inaugural Vande Bharat Express commenced its journey on February 15, 2019, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, operating between New Delhi and Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Crafted at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, this train exemplifies the ‘Make-In-India’ campaign and highlights India’s impressive engineering capabilities. Bihar first Vande Bharat Express train was started on 27 June 2023 between Patna and Ranchi.

Bihar Second Vande Bharat Express train route will cover a distance of 532 km between Patna Junction and Howrah Junction in Kolkata. This Vande Bharat train route will connect three important Indian states Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. The Bihar first Vande Bharat Express route cover a distance of 379 km in 6 hours between Patna and Ranchi.

The second Vande Bharat Express train starting from Bihar will have only one stoppage in Bihar. The train will only stop at their sources station Patna Junction. People are demanding more Vande Bharat Express train stoppages in Bihar, but there is no official announcement about this from the Indian railway for stoppage in Bihar. The Bihar Second Vande Bharat Express Train will stop at only Jasidih and Asonsol Junction between Patna Junction and Howrah Junction.
When Will Bihar Second Vande Bharat Express Train Start?
The trial run of the Vande Bharat Express train between Patna and Howrah was effectively executed along the Patna-Jhajha-Asansol-Howrah route on August 5, 2023. According to the sources, Bihar Second Vande Bharat Express will be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on August 15, 2023.
