In a bid to enhance the convenience of railway passengers, the Indian Railways is gearing up to launch Andhra Pradesh Third Vande Bharat Express, connecting Vijayawada and Chennai. The Andhra Pradesh first Vande Bharat Express train was launched between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad on 15 January 2023.
Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express connects two Indian states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The second Andhra Pradesh Vande Bharat Express train was launched on 8 April 2023, which connects Secunderabad and Tirupati. Secunderabad to Tirupati Vande Bharat Express cover a distance of 662 km with an average speed of 80 km/h and takes 08 hrs 15 mins to complete a single journey.
