Currently, two Vande Bharat Express trains are running between Secunderabad to Tirupati and Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad, which connects Andhra Pradesh. In a bid to enhance the convenience of railway passengers, the Indian Railways is gearing up to launch Andhra Pradesh Third Vande Bharat Express, connecting Vijayawada and Chennai. The Andhra Pradesh first Vande Bharat Express train was launched between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad on 15 January 2023.
Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express connects two Indian states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The second Andhra Pradesh Vande Bharat Express train was launched on 8 April 2023, which connects Secunderabad and Tirupati. Secunderabad to Tirupati Vande Bharat Express cover a distance of 662 km with an average speed of 80 km/h and takes 08 hrs 15 mins to complete a single journey.

The route of the Third Vande Bharat Express in Andhra Pradesh spans 431 kilometres, linking Chennai and Vijayawada. This Vande Bharat train route will connect two important Indian states, Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu.

The Third Vande Bharat Express in Andhra Pradesh will commence its journey from Chennai Central and make stops at Gudur Junction, Nellore, Ongole, Tenali Junction, and Vijayawada Junction. Andhra Pradesh Third Vande Bharat Express Train will have four stoppages in Andhra Pradesh and one stoppage in Tamilnadu. This particular Vande Bharat Express is designed to traverse the distance between Chennai and Vijayawada in a mere 5 hours, boasting an average speed of 86 km/h.
When Will Andhra Pradesh Third Vande Bharat Express Train Start?
In the first week of August, the trial run of the Vande Bharat Express train between Vijayawada and Chennai was successfully conducted. As per reports, the inauguration of Andhra Pradesh’s third Vande Bharat Express is scheduled for August 15, 2023, to be officiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
